Terms & conditions
Last updated: September 2026.
These terms cover your use of Hayzum, including every calculator and guide on this site. By using Hayzum you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What Hayzum is
Hayzum provides free calculators and guides for Australian students, including our ATAR calculator and its state versions, plus other education-related tools for students.
Estimates only, not official results
Every result our calculators produce is an estimate. None of them are official ATARs, official grades or official rankings, and none are produced or endorsed by any state tertiary admissions centre or education authority. Your real result can differ from what a Hayzum calculator shows, sometimes by a meaningful amount. For an official result, always check with your school, your state admissions centre, or the relevant curriculum authority.
Using the site
You are welcome to use Hayzum for personal, non-commercial purposes, such as estimating your own ATAR or grades. Please do not use automated tools to scrape, copy, or republish our calculators, guides or underlying content without asking us first through our Contact page. You also agree not to use the site in a way that disrupts it for other users, such as attempting to overload our tools or interfere with how they work.
Our content
The text, guides, design, and calculator logic on Hayzum belong to us unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to link to our pages or reference our guides with proper attribution, but please do not copy substantial parts of our content onto another site.
No professional advice
Nothing on Hayzum is academic, financial or career advice. Our guides explain how ATAR, GPA and grading systems generally work, but your own situation may differ, and decisions about subjects, university applications or study pathways should be made with your school or a qualified adviser.
No warranty
We build and check our calculators carefully, but we cannot guarantee they are free of errors, or that they will always be available without interruption. Hayzum is provided as is, without warranties of any kind.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Hayzum is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on any estimate, guide or piece of content published here. This includes decisions made based on a calculator result that later differs from your official outcome.
Links to other sites
Our guides sometimes link to external sources such as state admissions centres or curriculum authorities. We are not responsible for the content or accuracy of any site we link to, and linking to a site does not mean we endorse everything on it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Hayzum grows. We will update the date at the top of this page whenever we do, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
