How to read a VCE study score
ATAR · Hayzum editors · 17/08/2026 · Updated 31/08/2026
VCE study scores run from 0 to 50. A score of 30 sits near the middle of the statewide distribution for that study. It is not a percentage and it is not a grade on your school report.
Your study score combines school-assessed coursework with the external exam. Scaling then produces an ATAR subject contribution. Hayzum’s VCE study score tool is for planning only. VTAC issues official ranks.
